Belén Marrón

My name is Belén Marrón Reigosa, I graduated in Law from the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU, in 2000 and I hold a diploma in Protocol and Institutional Relations and a Master’s Degree in Business Law from the ICAB. While working as a legal advisor at the Catalan Parliament, I set up the law firm AB Abogadas and founded the first gourmets association in Catalonia  (Associació de les Gourmets de Catalunya) in order to raise awareness of Catalan culinary art and further the role of women in the gastronomic sector. This venture led to my being acknowledged with the title Cofrare d’Honor of the Jove Cofraria del Cava of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. I have also been recognized for visualizing and disseminating women’s contribution to this sector.

My professional experience in public and social institutions led me to enroll in the official Master’s Degree in Management and Communication of Social and Solidarity Entities UAO CEU, with which I took my first steps in the passionate world of corporate responsibility. I am currently writing my PhD dissertation entitled Research in the area of ”Environment and Health”: the impact of urban pollution on people’s health. This new personal challenge paved the way for a professional change at the Quirónsalud hospital group. Thus, in May 2015 I headed the company’s CSR at the corporate level, under the general HR department, Campus and PRL. In late 2015, I took up a managerial post at Quirónsalud Foundation, which has a clear focus on promoting public healthcare. In November 2017, I joined the Quirónsalud compliance committee. I am also an active member of the Advisory Council of the Spanish Association of Foundations (AEF) while continuing my personal commitment to supporting different organizations that strive to create equal opportunity policies for women in the workplace. Specifically. I am a founding member of the 50×50 Association, an active member of the Observatori d’Economia I Empresa (ODEE), among other roles.

My connection with the academic world has always remained strong, both in the field of lifelong learning and in maintaining contact with the younger generations that so enrich me. I am a member of both the Advisory Council of the Chair of Social Economy and the UNESCO Chair for Peace, Solidarity and Intercultural Diversity, as well as the EAE faculty. I enjoy taking part in sporadic media collaborations, where I discuss topics that particularly interest me.

Currently, I am a member of the Health Advisory Board of the Ministry of Health, on which I provide support and advice on Spanish health policies, as well as maintain working relationships with and active participation in various social and education innovation platforms as well as social movements.

Besides my family and my two daughters, I am professionally committed to social and transformative work that I undertake to consolidate social, business and cultural change which allow us all to live in a better, fairer and more sustainable world.
